How do we make money?
We charge each company a very small fee to receive your details. This is also another benefit to you because the companies are able to offer bigger discounts as we reduce their marketing costs.
How does it work?
You provide us with all your details. After you submit your details you will be asked a few questions that will help the companies quote for your business. We then do all the hard work matching your requirements with a maximum number of three companies within your local area. This information is then fed into our Customer Services department. who will pass your details on to the appropriate companies. All you need to do is select your product choice by clicking here and the quoting process will begin.
What are we doing with your details?
With your permission we take your details and pass them on to three companies. We will not pass your details to any other third parties, without your permission. We may from time to time send you out a newsletter on other products and services that we offer. The beauty is that you only have to enter your details once, and then the quote process will begin. No more jumping from website to website worrying about who you should be getting the quotes from.
How did all this happen?
Quotemelocal.co.uk began life in early 2004. We recognize that people need help in finding true professionals within the home improvement trade. We also recognized that saving people time and money is key! In summer 2004 we decided to switch from a directory service www.ukonthenet.com to the quick quote process - we switched track after our research with Internet users showed the frustration of having to trawl many sites to find the best deal. We launched our home improvement quote product set to the public in January 2005 and last year processed over 3000 quotes per week. In addition to this we now have a variety of different products helping people get quick quotes from local reliable sources.
